Fun History Lessons for Kids

If you are looking for an awesome history program for your kids, no matter what age they are, or something to supplement your homeschool history curriculum, I cannot say enough good things about this History by Mailprogram. We utilize this program as a homeschooling family, however, I really wish more of our local schools would look into adopting this program as a schoolwide thing, because I cannot tell you how little historical knowledge my students had when I was an elementary school teacher. And the truth is, I can’t even blame the students because the way the schedule is set up in elementary school, There is hardly an extra second to spare for subjects like history, geography and social studies. In our homeschool, we use this subscription as a way to supplement our story of the world homeschool curriculum. And what is really exciting is that a lot of times the events we are getting in the mail will correspond with events that we are already learning about in our homeschool. If you are homeschooling, please teach your kids the importance of utilizing primary source documents when they are researching a topic. That is why we love this program! They only use primary source documents.
